【摘要】:ClaymineralisthefunctionalcomponentofGCLthatreducesthehydraulicconductivityofindustrialwasteorgroundwaterthroughtheliner.ClaymineralqualitycanvarysignificantlyandeffectthehydraulicconductivityoftheGCLcomposite.Thistestmethodevaluatesasignificantpropertyofclaymineralthatrelatestoperformance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversanindexmethodthatenablestheevaluationoffluidlosspropertiesofaclaymineralfilmdepositedonafilterpaperfroma6%solidsslurryofclaymineralat100-psi(-kPa)pressureasameasureofitsusefulnessforpermeabilityorhydraulicconductivityreductioningeosyntheticclayliners(GCL).1.2ThistestmethodisadaptedfromAmericanPetroleumInstitutedrillingfluidspecificationsforbentonite.1.3Powderedclaymineralistestedasproduced;granularclaymineralshouldbegroundto100%passinga100meshU.S.StandardSievewithaminimumof65%passinga200meshU.S.StandardSievewiththewholegroundproductusedfortesting.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
